Joe Reeder

Senior Advisor for Border Security

Joe is an international security and counterterrorism expert with 20 years of experience across the Middle East, Africa, and Washington, DC. He has led complex counterterrorism and border security programs, managed multinational teams and multi-million-dollar projects, while advising policymakers and foreign government officials on high-stakes intelligence strategies.

Prior to joining Valar, Joe served in the U.S. Federal Government, coordinating security initiatives in Iraq, Syria, Oman, Yemen and Mali. He began his career as a Human Intelligence Collector in the U.S. Army, conducting interrogations and intelligence operations with the Joint Special Operations Command, earning the Bronze Star Medal for his service.

Joe holds a Master’s degree in Global Security Studies from Johns Hopkins University and a Bachelor’s degree in History and Psychology from Southern Wesleyan University. He brings extensive expertise in border security, international operations, intelligence analysis, and leadership in high-pressure environments.
