John has over 25 years of international experience in both the public and private sector working around the world. Most recently he served as the Owner & CEO of Sallyport Global, a firm he co-founded in 2004 to provide contingency operational support to the United States Government in Iraq, Afghanistan and elsewhere. John is also the founder of the GPD Charitable Trust, which serves as a primary investor in Bootstrap-capital and focuses its efforts on democracy promotion and late-teen/early adult intervention programs. John graduated from the United States Military Academy at West Point and was recalled to active duty in 2003 to serve in Operation Iraqi Freedom as an officer in the US Army.
